Trimming the tree

Mackenzie helped Daddy put the lights on the Christmas tree. She would walk in front of him, holding the strand of lights. When she got too far in front, Daddy told her not to pull the lights, to stand still. Before he could get the whole sentence out, Mackenzie said, "I know what to do!". I tried not to laugh, but couldn't control myself.

Rockstar!

Tonight Mackenzie experienced her first concert. Our friend Joey is a DJ on J93.3, and was in the area for a DecemberRadio concert. We went by to say hi to Joey, and to see if Mackenzie would want to listen to the music. The band plays pretty hard rock, but Mackenzie loved it! She danced, clapped, sang, and even blew kisses to the guys onstage, and the A/V crew. When we left, she thanked Joey for dancing with her--what a flirt! After we got home, I turned on some music and Mackenzie started boogying all over again! I think we have a future rockstar on our hands!

Awesome!!!!

Great news! Our friend Kristen is going to be able to come home from the hospital today! After seemingly endless trials, tests, worry, and prayer, her white blood count, oxygen levels, and heart rate are all at normal levels. Although very sick, Kristen has kept high spirits and even been mischevious with the nurses. In one case, while her mom was in the shower, she convinced a nurse to open a bag of Cheetos that her mom had repeatedly said she couldn't eat until lunchtime. What a stinker! Kisha, Kristen's mom, decided last night that it was time to get specific with her prayers, and prayed for Kristen's white blood count to rise to 1000. Overnight, it jumped from the 400's to the 1100's!!!!!!! We are all so grateful that Kristen is doing so well. She has had several scary nights, and kept us all on our knees. Prayers needed...

One of our dear friends is going through a very trying time right now. Kristen, who is only a few months older than Mackenize, has been diagnosed with a very rare form of lung cancer. The past week has been exhausting, nerve-racking, and terrifying for her and her parents. Thank God, the tumor seems to be shrinking and Kristen is able to breathe on her own. She will be going home from the hospital soon, but still will require chemotherapy. Please keep Kristen and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Fun at Mommy's office!

I went to Mommy's office to show off my costume before going Trick-or-Treating. I loved Mommy being dressed up as a kitty. I kept petting her tail and saying, "Meow!".
Dr. Gregg dressed up as Zorro, and I wasn't too sure about that. But I was happy as usual when he adjusted my spine!

I went over to Emma's house for Halloween again this year, and we had a blast. Aren't we cute?! I'm a spine, and Emma is Simba from "The Lion King".

We were pros at saying "Trick-or-Treat" and getting lots of candy!

I finally got to meet Emma's baby sister, Claire. I loved playing with her, and tried to share the toy pig I'm holding. (All day the next day, Mackenzie kept holding her baby and calling it "Baby Sister". Uh-oh, now it's Daddy and Mackenzie pitted against Mommy in the baby debate!)
