December 28th was Mommy's birthday! No pictures for this post, but we had a great time. Since Mommy had to work on her birthday, we went to see the Lights of Life. We also stopped by Nana and Papaw's house to celebrate. On the 29th, Mommy took the day off and slept in. She got to putter around the house by herself for a while (a very rare occasion) while Daddy and Mackenzie went out for a while. We all went to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner, then to see Alvin and the Chipmunks at the theater. Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Merry Christmas!
Santa arrives!!!
After such a busy weekend (game night on Saturday, Christmas Eve Eve with Mommy's family, church and Christmas Eve with Daddy's family, and upcoming Christmas Day Lunch with Daddy's extended family), Santa decided it would be best to have a low-key Christmas morning. He saved a few of Mackenzie's biggest surprises for this morning, and she was able to open her gifts and play until lunchtime (which, if you know our family, wasn't too long after we got up!).
Off to church we go...

Christmas Eve Eve
Mackenzie knew we were going to see Papaw Steve, Nana Phyllis, Uncle Eric, Aunt 'Chelle, and her cousins, so she decided to get a little more nap in than usual.
Opening gifts is so much fun!!!!!
Nana and Papaw (Mommy's parents) gave Mackenzie this adorable 3 piece doll furniture set. There is a highchair, changing table, and crib. Of course, a new baby doll is a given. Mackenzie loved receiving this gift, and now has a great place to become a mommy to her babies.
Mackenzie, Stephen, Chris, and Katie sharing peacefully (for the moment!)

Cheese!
We decided to take home portraits in front of the tree this year. It went wonderfully.
This was the winner. Mackenzie looks beautiful!
Getting ready for Christmas!
We have spent the last few weeks getting ready for Christmas. We are all so excited to spend this special time in our new house! Mackenzie loves everything about Christmas, and can't wait to see all of our family.
Here is our little helper, helping Daddy with the outdoor Christmas lights.
Our beautiful Christmas tree! Mackenzie enjoys playing with our train, and the silly singing reindeer. She also spends a lot of her time playing with her nativity set. Anytime you ask her whose birthday we're celebrating for Christmas, she answers "Baby Jesus' birthday!". Mackenzie also has a very giving heart. Most of the time, she would rather give someone else a present than receive one herself. We're very blessed to have such a sweet hearted daughter.

Happy Birthday, Dad!
Jon turned 26 last week! Mackenzie helped him open his gifts at home, then we took him out for a nice dinner. Happy Birthday!
Having fun...
