We're Pregnant!

We are pregnant! We found out on Thursday, September 25. I was a week late with my cycle, so I took my first test on Thursday (I took a second one over the weekend just to make double-sure!), and whoo-hoo! It was an immediate positive result, just like Mackenzie's was. We only tried for two cycles, so we were very surprised that it happened so quickly. Especially since we'd heard that the second pregnancy could take a lot longer. After this, we'll have to be very careful, since it only took 2 months for me to get pregnant with Mackenzie, too! We are so excited, and Mackenzie has warmed up to the idea. Our first appointment with the OB is October 10, so we'll find out for sure when the due date is then.

!!!CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congratulations on your "little" blessing from God! Although it may be scary to bring a little one into today's financially unstable and otherwise screwed-up world, we are proud that the two of you have the faith and courage to go ahead with your plan to give Mackenzie a little sister or brother, or (maybe even both). Wow! Wouldn't it be great to have twins?

We look forward to welcoming this baby (or babies) into our growing family. As you know, we love and cherish each of our five wonderful grandchildren, they are our pride and joy and they keep us laughing!

We wish you the best of luck with the pregnancy and hope the morning sickness will soon subside. Ugh! Even after twenty-seven years, we still can't shake many unpleasant memories of the never-ending 24/7 nausea, (I've never understood why it is called morning sickness when it never goes away!). During our pregnancy with you, the misery continued morning, noon and night, for five long months! Thankfully, the joy of your birth erased many of the unpleasant memories.

Childbirth is the most exciting and miraculous event on earth and now you have a second chance to experience the joy! We hope to be there, to share in the beauty and the joy of the beginning of our precious little one's life!

With Lots of Love,
Dad & Mom
