Great news!!!

I just received an update from Kristen's parents. She was able to come home from the hospital!!! This is wonderful. We all know how much better we feel when we're in our own bed. Keep the prayers coming--Kristen's doing great!

Woo-Hoo!

An update on Kristen: She came through the surgery beautifully!!!! They were able to remove the entire tumor without much difficulty. She is breathing at 95-100% on her own, no machines. If she continues the way she is, she will be able to come home in about a week! She is a very strong little girl, so we expect nothing but good news.

Prayers needed.

As many of you know, one of our good friends, Kristen, has been battling cancer for a few months. The tumor has shrunk enough with chemotherapy that she will be undergoing surgery on February 14 to remove as much as possible. Please keep Kristen, her mom and dad, and their entire family in your prayers. We love you, Kristen!

Happy Valentine's Day...

...from the Cronon's. We have had an awesome Valentine's week. On Friday, Jon surprised me with a clean house, dinner and a movie, and Mackenzie stayed overnight with my parents. It was easily one of the best Valentine's we've spent together. Mackenzie received "The Aristocats" from my parents, and we will see Jon's parents soon. We gave Mackenzie a jumbo pack of Mr. Potato Head's with lots of accessories. She calls them "Mommy Ma-tay-toe", "Daddy Ma-tay-toe", and "Baby Ma-tay-toe".

Happy Birthday Kristen!

Over the weekend we went to Kristen's 3rd birthday party! Here are some fun pictures from Kangazooms.

Since it was a Backyardigan theme party, Mackenzie couldn't keep her eyes off the merchandise!

For me?

Dr. Gregg went to California and brought Mackenzie this really cute shirt. When I told her that it came from California, she was really excited. She said, "Califor-me?!" Priceless!

Fun with Cousins!

Michael, Stephen, Chris, Katie, and Mackenzie had a great time at Monkey Joe's. We were so happy to have all 4 of Aunt 'Chelle and Uncle Eric's munchkins spend the weekend with us. Mackenzie Michael and Stephen

Let it snow, let it snow...

We had a great time playing in the snow. It was the first time Mackenzie had experienced it, and she had a blast!

Happy New Year...

from the Cronon's! One of our very best friends, Heather, spent the last night of the year with us. She's been gone for way too long, and we were thrilled to finally be able to spend some time with her.
Here is Mackenzie, ringing in the new year with a silly bow on her head and a smile on her face.
Opening gifts from Heather is always fun. Mackenzie received lots of fun art supplies for her easel, and a squishably soft Christmas bear that was warmly welcomed into the family.
We finally had a chance to open Lucky Ducks, a gift from Nanny and Papaw. Mackenzie enjoyed playing with the ducks, and after one round of playing by the rules, she invented her own game. She took all the ducks off the console, and named them--after everyone in our family!
While Mommy whipped up our favorite dinner--Mac and Cheese with Chicken and Broccoli--Mackenzie cooked up some yummy treats too! Yum-O!
(Mackenzie loves watching Rachael Ray cook almost as much as Mommy does!)

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

December 28th was Mommy's birthday! No pictures for this post, but we had a great time. Since Mommy had to work on her birthday, we went to see the Lights of Life. We also stopped by Nana and Papaw's house to celebrate. On the 29th, Mommy took the day off and slept in. She got to putter around the house by herself for a while (a very rare occasion) while Daddy and Mackenzie went out for a while. We all went to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner, then to see Alvin and the Chipmunks at the theater. Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the Cronon's. Hope yours was as fun and enjoyable as ours.
Happy Birthday Jesus!

Mackenzie is loving all the time Mommy and Daddy have off work due to the holidays. She has enjoyed playing non-stop with her new nursery furniture.

Nanny and Papaw (Daddy's parents) gave Mommy and Mackenzie matching aprons. Mackenzie loves wearing hers, and helping Mommy cook dinner. She also wears it to cook in her own kitchen, and cook for her baby.

Santa arrives!!!

After such a busy weekend (game night on Saturday, Christmas Eve Eve with Mommy's family, church and Christmas Eve with Daddy's family, and upcoming Christmas Day Lunch with Daddy's extended family), Santa decided it would be best to have a low-key Christmas morning. He saved a few of Mackenzie's biggest surprises for this morning, and she was able to open her gifts and play until lunchtime (which, if you know our family, wasn't too long after we got up!).

Our little ham got a little stage-fight coming down the stairs. We had to wake her up, and she was surprised to see Aunt Beth and Uncle AJ already filming with the cameras.
Checking out the art easel!
"Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!"

Enjoying monkey ears!
What a face!

That's all folks!
Time to play!!!

Christmas Eve

"More presents for me?!"
Mackenzie was in awe that the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse she watches on TV actually fits in her living room!

Off to church we go...

Daddy, Mommy, Mackenzie, Aunt Beth, and Uncle AJ all dolled up on our way to church to celebrate Baby Jesus' birthday. Mackenzie enjoyed the service, and did her best to alternately blow out our candles, or grab an unlit candle and light it from ours. Never a dull moment!

Christmas Eve Eve

Mackenzie knew we were going to see Papaw Steve, Nana Phyllis, Uncle Eric, Aunt 'Chelle, and her cousins, so she decided to get a little more nap in than usual.
Opening gifts is so much fun!!!!!
Nana and Papaw (Mommy's parents) gave Mackenzie this adorable 3 piece doll furniture set. There is a highchair, changing table, and crib. Of course, a new baby doll is a given. Mackenzie loved receiving this gift, and now has a great place to become a mommy to her babies.
Mackenzie, Stephen, Chris, and Katie sharing peacefully (for the moment!)

Cheese!

We decided to take home portraits in front of the tree this year. It went wonderfully.
This was the winner. Mackenzie looks beautiful!
Here are some more of the cute pictures from our fun photo op!

Getting ready for Christmas!

We have spent the last few weeks getting ready for Christmas. We are all so excited to spend this special time in our new house! Mackenzie loves everything about Christmas, and can't wait to see all of our family.
Here is our little helper, helping Daddy with the outdoor Christmas lights.
The finished product!

Our beautiful Christmas tree! Mackenzie enjoys playing with our train, and the silly singing reindeer. She also spends a lot of her time playing with her nativity set. Anytime you ask her whose birthday we're celebrating for Christmas, she answers "Baby Jesus' birthday!". Mackenzie also has a very giving heart. Most of the time, she would rather give someone else a present than receive one herself. We're very blessed to have such a sweet hearted daughter.
